IT-SCIENT started to provide curative, promotive and preventive healthcare services in Jamshedpur to improve levels of health amongst the community. During the latest campaign, approximately 600 persons from both urban slums and remote, rural areas were treated by the company’s health initiative. IT-SCIENTorganized one program with ASHA (Accredited Social Health Activist) to reach out to remote villages. This ‘hospital on wheels’ provides curative interventions, including surgical operations. In the campaign, more than 477 patients were treated and 35 surgeries were conducted and more than 100 aids and appliances were distributed.
Taking forward its initiatives for preventive healthcare, over 100 women received ante-natal check up and more than 150 children received complete immunization during this program.
Recognizing the need for having well stocked blood banks for emergencies, we have collected 112 units in conducted blood donation camp.
Over 100 tuberculosis cases underwent treatment and nearly 34 cases were cured. 100 cataract and 50 cleft lip/cleft palate operations were conducted. Three drinking water structures and 50 low cost toilets were constructed to improve rural sanitation.
